FAST INSTRUCTIONS FOR LINUX USERS:

*** README.html file:

  Full instructions to install and run the software.

*** FAST START (linux):

- Normally it will be enough to install python2.5, python2.6 or python2.7, and the latest versions of pyQt4, scipy and pyQwt5. 
  The other packages should be automatically installed as dependencies. 

- Example for distributions with apt package system  (change package names depending on your distribution): 
  $ sudo apt-get install python2.7 python-qt4 python-scipy python-qwt5-qt4

- Open a console and execute:
  $ mwfiltersgui.py
  
  The GUI starts. Notice that all buttons show tooltips when you place the mouse cursor over the button.
  Click the 'Open parameter file' button and open 'Parameters.par' file.
  Enjoy yourself playing with the software!

  Note: There are several *.par files in the program folder. 
        Only the Parameters.par file of the free distribution does not need non-free libraries.
	If you are running the free version, you can also run the other *.par files if you must choose:
	  - Filter / "Filter Transfer Function" different than "Generalized Chebyshev"
	  - Synthesis / "Synthesis Technique" equal to "Minimum Insertion Loss"
